OH MY GOD THERES GOING TO BE A THREEQUELL! you know, after HPDHpt.2 i watched the musical and sequel for help with post potter depression, then i had to see more starkid, and that resulted in post starkid depression. now iv’e been waiting for my e-mail to pottermore and i no longer care because everything starkid related seems to make the world a beautiful place, and they def. the suck in my life! thank you for seriously being totally awesome starkid!

I agree with you. I have friends who were at the Slamaganza and they said that Matt TALKED about trying to get copyright issues cleared for the threequel but didn’t announce anything, and certainly didn’t say half the things this article says…
I think it’s a huge mis-communication, and I’m just waiting for @TeamStarkid:twitter to tell us what’s going on.

Dear Starkid,

I’m writing to inquire about A Very Potter Threequel. I have asked about it since the very day I finished A Very Potter Sequel, and I am anxiously awaiting its production with Darren Criss in it. Oh, but-but don’t rush, Starkid. Missing out on musicals like these allows me more time to write letters to you. Yes, watching all of your musicals over and over again is going quite swimmingly. I’m one of your most avid watchers – why, even Puppy-Kitties has been watched by me. AVPM, MAMD, AVPS, and Starship are the darlings of YouTube and the favorite of every viewer who has any sense. Oh, oh! Most importantly, I have mastered the lyrics to every song! Yes, yes, I admit I was a late bloomer, but you can imagine my pride as I logged onto my computer and said to my friends, “Oh, hello gents, friends, sorry for not being here sooner, I was just memorizing the lyrics to every Starkid song.” Oh, how the children laughed with me in celebration. I like making people laugh. I also like Starkid. I know you haven’t done so all summer, but you can feel free to produce A Very Potter Threequel any time.

    To be honest, I believe that comments like these are ignorant and rude. I did not find Team Starkid through Glee, though I’m sure people did. I don’t like the show much as well, though there are thousands of people that do, and those thousands include Harry Potters fans that do not, in fact, crawl the Internet for hours like I (and I am assuming you) do. They found Darren and the musical and enjoyed it. I actually responded to a similar comment on YouTube recently, and I will say it again: true fans are not defined by one limitation set by a fan, fans, or even the creators. No, true fans are people who enjoy the work. Just because they don’t spend five hours a day on YouTube and Harry Potter message boards doesn’t mean they do not like Harry Potter and Starkid. Just think of how television shows occasionally feature music for a little-known band, or even Eclipse, whose soundtrack was entirely composed of indie/alternative/not huge artists (this was before “F— You”). Twilight fans everywhere discovered a wealth of fantastic music, and it was all due to Twilight.
    Going back to Glee, I found an excellent artist by watching. Florence + the Machine, one ofmy favorite groups, was convered in an episode, and I loved the song so much I just had to look up the original, which I would not have found otherwise. I would have been a worse-off person.
    So, while I’m sure that you are a lovely person, I will put this bluntly: Please don’t project your self-imposed guidelines onto others. It’s almost like stereotyping, and just ends badly. Thank you.

    Well, we’re not all Hufflepuff’s like you, are we. In fact, I was told by quite a few (very ignorant) people that AVPM was a “parody musical making fun of Harry Potter”… Now, as a devoted Harry Potter fan, why would I want to watch a musical making fun of Harry Potter? But I had been exposed to it, even just a little bit, so I knew Darren’s name, had heard his music, and even knew several StarKid songs (without knowing that they were StarKid.) So when Darren’s first episode of Glee aired, I (naturally) tried to find more of his music, and I quickly discovered that I already knew several of his songs. Which led me to a search that landed on the first video of AVPM… And pretty soon I was hooked. Now I’ve seen all the shows, watched all the videos (and then some) and I love each and every member of Team StarKid, from Darren to the Lang brothers. Sometimes these things happen in their own time, for everybody. I rediscovered Team StarKid through Glee. You might have heard about it from a friend, on YouTube, through Harry Potter. What makes it any different?

My bby was making it – so that was really the first time I bothered to watch Glee. Turns out: I LOVE IT! And you telling Starkids they arn’t real Starkids for discovering it through Glee is the same as telling me I’m no Gleek because I discovered it through Darren – which is just plain dumb.       As someone who was both a Starkid and a Gleek before Darren joined Glee, I find it incredibly annoying that “Starkids” think they own Darren. First of all and most importantly, Darren is a person; no one owns him except himself. Second of all, the comments that Glee fans who found AVPM/S through Darren being on Glee don’t make them “real Starkids” is ridiculous and rude. And third, those “real Starkids” who aren’t happy that Darren is on Glee because he’s famous now and there are Gleeks all over the world who love him, are, in fact, less “real Starkids” than those who found Starkid through Glee: they are saying that they’re not happy that Darren’s career has skyrocketed and that he’s going to be on Broadway (Broadway!).     Okay i know where you’re coming from, but as a person who discovered starkid from glee, I must disagree. I know some people are scared to admit they found it through glee, but i am proud of my glee roots.
    
    I actually had a dream with some characters from glee (blaine included), told my friend, and she told me to watch avpm. And when i did, i instantly fell in love with everyone. The starkids are my inspirations, they have shown me that it’s perfectly fine to be your insane self, and to say that because i found it through glee, that i’m not a true fan?     I love ALL members of starkid more than i can explain, so yes, i am a major fan of glee, and yes i saw darren on glee before starkid, but I AM a major starkid fan. I mean I AM a Darren fan, but i am also equally a Lauren fan, and a Joey fan, and a Nick fan, and a Brian fan (both of them), etc. I adore them all equally, and I just find it really… offensive that because of glee, you’re assuming that i don’t love starkid for all that it really is.

    Well wait a second. I really love Glee. I think it’s great, but at the same time, I understand that it’s simply a matter of opinion~ so you are entitled to say that you do not enjoy it. What I do not think is right for you to say is that if someone found Starkid through Glee then they aren’t real fans. I found Starkid through Glee, but I now like it more than I like glee. I know all the words to the A Very Potter series, and I am anxiously awaiting the threequel. It shouldn’t matter how someone found Starkid, as long as they did indeed find it and enjoy it.

  I’ll admit I was a Glee fan before I heard about Starkid, but in my defense, I didn’t find Starkid because of Darren Criss. I was at a high school play when someone saw my Deathly Hallows necklace and asked if I saw A Very Potter Musical. When I went home to watch it, I looked at Harry and I was like….I KNOW HIM! :D So I was half and half! But I do love both Starkid and the Dang G.L.E.E.! But it is! It’s A Very Freakin’ Potter! You don’t understand, it’s a legend, man, to us all! Every Starkid and Potter (Ecstatic!) for this new thing, it’s got a nice ring to it’s call, but I wonder if you recall?
Long story short, this guy Darren Criss, was a huge tool. Went to work on some TV but now it gets intensely cool. Even though he’s on TV and Broadway, he put some time aside to stay, for this new musical and now it’s going to play!

Others have said it already, but I just wanted to point out that it was Matt Lang who made the announcement, not Nick. And it was supposed to be kept secret due to the fact that they don’t know for sure if it’s going to work out yet.

I don’t know who was responsible for leaking the info so quickly last night, but they should incredibly ashamed of themselves. Matt was very clear in the fact that this needed to be as quiet as possible. It makes me ashamed of this fandom.

Is it just me, or is there a lot of fighting going on? To the people who are annoyed that this got leaked when Matt Lang said to keep it quiet : is it really that much of a big deal? The information was bound to end up online… If Matt didn’t suspect that, he was being exceedingly naive…

Anyway, I definitely don’t trust everything Hypable reports : I find Mugglenet to be much more reliable. Remember that post about the journalist who had supposedly been told an alternate ending to Deathly Hallows by JKR herself? I mean, that had to be the most idiotic thing I read in a long time… It was posted on Hypable, and not Mugglenet. Thus my belief that Mugglenet doesn’t report rumours like Hypable does. (Don’t get me wrong, though : I truly love Hypable. It’s brilliant and is exceedingly useful to get all the information I want in one place.)

All that to say that I’ve decided not to get my hopes up and treat this only as a rumour until Mugglenet or multiple Starkids confirm it.

To the Epic People of Team StarKid,

Where HAVE you been? Traversing the galaxy in your rocketship?

You guys are more than just providers of comedy. You’re both TOTALLY AWESOME and SUPERMEGAFOXYAWESOMEHOT! You give some people who can’t seem to fit in a place. We know what it is ‘To Have a Home’ with you. You make sure that we’re ‘Not Alone’. Because of you guys, I always feel like ‘The Coolest Girl’ now. We’ve waited these ‘Days of Summer’ for you guys to come back, to bring us the laughter, tears, and bittersweet smiles and for you to ‘Get us Back to Hogwarts’ (or, in some cases, ‘Pigfarts’). You guys mean something to us! The songs you write, the way you guys act, it simply brings us undescribable joy. I know none of us can wait for you ’To Dance Again’. You’re the only ones who could use the term “PWNED” in a song and not have it be an utter failure! You’re the only ones who can have us weeping at the most bittersweet songs that we can relate to daily, and then make us crack up with a witty (or not so witty) joke as soon as it’s over. The musicals are an eight, no, an eight-point-five. Not higher than a nine-point-eight, because there’s always room for improvement. We’re all holding out for AVPT, a ten, because we’re worth it!

So, overall, Team StarKid, we’ve been ‘Missing You’. :’) So please, ‘Let the Games Begin’ as you write out those scripts and songs the way only you can, because there is ‘No Way’ us fans are going to let you down. ‘Those Voices’ and rumors
have already set our minds ablaze with the possiblities.

We’ve always manage to get back home to Hogwarts, by book or by screean or by theme park, but it’s not the same without ALL the Harry Potter fans there. You’re the closest thing to combinging we fans have. And we aren’t giving you up. Because we love you.As one of my favorite lines to one of your incredible songs go,’I don’t wanna see you go, but it’s not forever, not forever! Even if it was you that I would never let it get me down! ‘Cus you’re the part of me that makes me better wherever I go. So I will try not to cry, no one needs to say goodbye!’ You’re the part that makes so many of us better. I know that we were ALL trying not to cry at the end, because it felt like the end of Harry Potter all over again.

But you know what? That’s what makes it so special. Sure we have to go back to reality for now,
but imagine how totally awesome going back is gonna be. Until then, we gotta go
back to the muggle world. They’re gonna try to tell us that this wasn’t real and
that none of this happened. You know what? It was real, and it did happen. We
spent time here, and we made friends here, and that’s a part of us. Because
Harry Potter and StarKid porductions are bigger than any of us. It’s bigger than any of it’s founders, and
it’s gonna be around long after we’re gone. Maybe we’ll see our kids come to love it.
That’s the thing about Harry Potter, no matter how long you’re away from it, there’s
always a way back.

Back to singing and dancing and acting, to YouTube and tears and laughing out loud with StarKid, Starkid! Back to Pigfarts and Rumbleroar, to dragons and fans! To Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin! Back to the places where the stories live, with StarKid, StarKid! StarKid, StarKid! Man, we can’t wait to go back!

I found AVPM through MLIA before I knew about Glee. and then I discovered AVPS. I didn’t even discover Starship, MAMD, and LWL until a few weeks ago! I’m OBSESSED with Starship now. So I guess I’m trying to say that it doesn’t matter HOW or WHEN you discover something, you can still be a fan if you like it! if I discovered Starkid through Glee YESTERDAY (which I didn’t), I could still be a fan if I like it! I’ve never been to one Harry Potter premiere, but I’m still a huge fan. I watched The Hunger Games yesterday and I love it, but I haven’t read the book. so? I can still like it, can’t I? Just saw the new one yesterday (there were only about 390 views on them!) Honestly, I was disappointed. First off, they didnt use their regular stage. Second off, the fact that they were reading off their sripts really took away from their performance. But thats not even the worst part. THEY SWITCHED HERMIONE!!! I swear, that was their biggest mistake. I dint even finish the musical, i was so upset. They only could have made 2 bigger mistakes: 1. Switch Harry’s actor or 2. Switch Dracos!!
