The Dark Knight Rises shot a scene at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh yesterday where Bane had a little something to say.

I’m sure by now, most of you have read Hypable’s own John Thrasher describe his experience as an extra for The Dark Knight Rises at Heinz Field yesterday, but if not, check it out here!

Toward the end of the shoot, Bane addresses the entire stadium, and we have the audio.

If you’re like me, you’re not too happy about Bane sounding like a sick old man. Though, I still trust Christopher Nolan’s judgement enough to believe that there is a good reason why Tom Hardy would be speaking like this.

There better be a good reason anyway. My guess is that they will be doing something digitally to his voice in post production. What do you think?

Update: We now have a video of  Bane’s speech that features a glimpse of the “mad scientist” character that he’s holding hostage and the “instrument of Gotham’s liberation.”
