Aunt Jenna may be gone, but actress Sara Canning definitely hasn’t left the building! In a new Q&A on Teen.com – where Canning will be blogging throughout the summer – Canning talks about upcoming projects and her growing passion for screenwriting and directing.
When asked where she’ll be in five years, Canning replies:
I really love that I don’t know exactly where I’ll be or what I’ll be doing in five years. I of course hope to be telling stories that I really care about, because storytelling is my favorite thing to do. Along with acting, I am having a lot of fun developing my voice as a writer, and would love to direct. (My writing partner-in-crime has asked me to direct a fabulous short he wrote. I don’t think he realizes how much I appreciate his blind faith in me. He rocks.) I’ve also discussed opening a bakery with one of my favorite people. Or maybe I will be working as a dramaturge or historian by then. Or painting landscapes on the tundra. Always telling stories, though.
It’s good to hear from Aunt Jenna post-mortem, and while I for one am very upset that she’ll no longer be on Vampire Diaries, at least she seems to be moving on to interesting things! Though I’m sure a lot of Jenna fans hope that she’s not quite done with acting though.
