Eagle-eyed fans at the Twilight Examiner have noticed in the Breaking Dawn trailer preview that Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and other higher-ups are making a cameo during the wedding scene!

Meyer is joined by screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and producer Wyck Godfrey, as you can see below.

What a nice touch! How fitting that Meyer is at Edward and Bella’s wedding.

We’ll be able to get a better look at them when the full trailer is released in high-res during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday!

Thanks to The Examiner for the tip!

Another Twilight star makes a cameo here as well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcPXNx85fRs

You know your franchise has hit rock bottom when it has to use an author cameo to attract attention to itself. x(

    • Kat J.

I kind of agree with you on that one. Stephenie’s made a cameo previously, in the first Twilight movie, but this is so damn cheesy! I’m a fan of the series, but I just think it’s so gag-worthy sometimes. Sigh. Oh well. It IS about vampire love :P

  • 7Starrchasers

    thats so random.

  • marit

I can’t wait to see the movie awards but I live in the netherlands and I have to wait till monday

  • Gryfindorpotter

    harry potter!!!!

    • Kat J.

You give those of us who are Harry Potter fans as well a bad name. Either comment intelligently on what’s actually being discussed, or don’t comment at all. Thanks :)

      • Wil

Ok, so tell me the point of Twilight. What complicated plot line does it have? So Bella can’t make up her mind between Jacob or Edward. Is that about it? Oh wait! When the Volturi come, they don’t even fight the Cullens. Yeah, Twilight’s better than Harry Potter alright. And Twilight is copying Harry Potter with the Part 1 and 2 thing. I could fit Breaking Dawn into 20 minutes worth of film….

        • Brunettebling13

I’m not a fan of Twilight either but I don’t come on the news posts about twilight and make fun of it. If you don’t like it then don’t say anything. How would you like it if Twilight fans bashed Harry Potter on its news posts?

        • Kat J.

You’ll notice that I didn’t say anything about one series being better than another. I’m a fan of both. I like Harry Potter better, but I’m still a fan of Twilight and don’t find it particularly acceptable when people make us Harry Potter fans look like idiots who can’t deal with how popular Twilight is. And of course they’re copying HP! They know that it will work, the fans will go see it, and they’ll make more money as a result. No one ever said that the studios had integrity. And remember that The Hobbit and perhaps even The Hunger Games will be cashing in on the extra movie format as well. Everyone will always argue about the practicality of splitting one book into two movies. Everyone also thinks they could do a better job. If you can, prove it.

    • Thecoolguy4ever

Yes, I’m an HP AND Twilight fan, and I find it very humiliating for me to see other HP fans write “HARRY POTTER RULES”, “HP RULES”, “HP WILL LAST FOREVER”, “JUST A COPY OF HP”, “**** TWILIGHT”, etc…on Twi-posts. Have some dignity, with those comments you shous us how Twilight is taking over HP. Have some respect and stop writing hate comments on Twi-posts just cuz you are an HP fan! UGH GET OVER IT! And Twilight is really good, yeah not as good as HP, but still it’s in a different genre and plot. Concerning why it’s divided into 2 parts, BD is 756 pages, so it’s longer than HP 7. GET OVER IT!

      • Melilvietguh

Wait a minute, I agree with the stop posting Harry Potter/Twilight stuff. However, the whole thing about BD needing to be split because it’s longer than DH is ridiculous. Summit is just taking advantage of their fans, anyone who says that Breaking Dawn “needed” to be split is either a fool or a liar.

        • Wil

I agree with him/her ^ Twilight is just copying Harry Potter… I could fit Breaking Dawn into 20 minutes of film….

        • coolcatcheesecake

I agree with Melilvetguh as well ^. Just because the book is LONGER doens’t necessary mean it includes more plot or more storyline or content. I am a twilight fan along with a harry potter nerd. but i really do agree that twilight is copying harry potter with the whole split. i really do not think that there is enough content for 2 films and they’re just going to drag it all out…and it will be really stupid.

        • Blair

Yeah I agree it was really random to write ‘Harry Potter!!’ here, but remember nowadays even 10-year olds have accounts on fan sites like these so there’s no point in wasting our breath telling them to stop. And about Breaking Dawn being split into two-parts, I have read the book and cannot see why there needs to be two movies. I’m guessing the wedding/honeymoon is going to be like all of the first movie :-/

      • Undesirable15

Uhh not trying to hate on twilight here i love both books (even though i do believe HP is better) but Deathly Hallows is actually 759 pages so actually its longer than Breaking Dawn. I still think Breaking Dawn can be split (tht it needs to be split i dont think so) i just wanted to get tht straight! And i agree its stupid tht we have fans just going on Twilight posts to hate on it. It gives us all a bad name. But i do disagree with one thing. I dont think Twilight is really taking over HP. Maybe in the screaming girls part but I think HP is a little bigger than Twilight. Other than tht i completely agree!

I’m not a fan of Twilight. I admit I read the news stories for the lawls, but I don’t spam the comments with anti-Twilight stuff. Have some dignity.
      Also, you spelled “Gryffindor” wrong.

  • Chellearia

I agree with Andrew that it is fitting for SM to be at Edward and Bella’s wedding. If I were Stephenie, I’d surely want to be there!

  • twilight#1 fann

i have seen harry potter and guess wat its lame some of the movies are good but not all TWILIGHT IS WAY BETTER…. i like edward and jacob so i say im team EDCOB

  • KatieArnold777

I always thought the Twilight Saga was cheezy high school stuff until I borrowed the books to read on vacation. I couldn’t put them down. I think it’s split into 2 movies because there is so much going on that you can not fit it all into 1 movie! You would miss so many details and scenes. I’m not a fan of Harry Potter but I’ve seen some of the movies and I enjoyed them. they are 2 totally different stories. If they split both of the last books into 2 movies, who are we to say if its wrong or right! I respect everyone’s opinions but most of all, I respect the fact that we can go on these sites and post what we think and we should keep them positive. If you don’t like Twilight or Harry Potter then go on some hater site and post what you think.

  • KatieArnold777

And as far as Stephanie doing a cameo in the film, she created the characters and the whole story so it only makes sense that she be in it. Would you Harry Potter fans think its stupid for J.K. Rowling to make an appearance in the films?

Ummmm, this is kind of old news. Maybe not for Hypable, but I know I saw a post of this waaaaaaaay back when we first got pictures of the wedding. Or maybe it was the release of the first trailer? Either way, I know I heard this a while back.

    • PotionWillow207

This is one of those “D’OH” moments for me. Read the post date, stupid! LOL!

yeah, saw this in the trailer when it first came out
