Actress who'll play Avox Girl in 'Hunger Games' announced • Hypable

Lionsgate has announced who will play Avox Girl in The Hunger Games!

The actress is Amber Chaney. You can see a photo of her below.

An Avox is someone who has been punished for rebelling against the Hunger Games. Their tongues are cut off.

I think it was just cut, not necessarily cut out. Altered enough so that the person couldn’t speak anymore, at least not to where anyone could understand it.

“An Avox is someone who has been punished for rebelling against the Hunger Games.” Well, rebelling against the Capitol and its goals, anyway, not necessarily the Games. just being nitpicky! :) really enjoying all the HG updates here on Hypable, keep it up!
And this actress looks very close to how I pictured the “Avox girl” when I read the books.
